Description This established and growing manufacturer of automotive parts has partnered with Kitchener Executive Consultants to search for an experienced hands-on General Manager (P&L Site Leader) who brings a successful Management track record in the auto parts manufacturing industry. Our ideal candidate brings a career of solid successes in developing & deploying systematic, structured, data-driven problem solving tools, championing & leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives and applying exceptional team leadership & employee development talents. The facility supplies Tier One auto parts and assemblies to Asian auto assembly plants from the area of Shanghai, China with a plant population of 230 loyal employees. Our ideal candidate is an active leader, able to engage with customers and motivate his/her team daily in the pursuit of excellence, and cooperating with other global installations for the betterment of the overall company. The acceptable candidate will have complete responsibility for the facility, reporting to the CEO in Canada and managing a varied organizational tier. Naturally, a candidate who has already worked with/for international corporations or has a good understanding of North American industrial cultures & techniques will be an asset. Deep and current knowledge of challenges facing auto parts manufacturing is essential and Technical or Engineering strengths will be especially valuable assets. These skills along with an engaging desire to learn and interact with multiple teams will shorten the learning curve.
