Description For almost 100 years, this heavy manufacturing operation has supplied critical components and assemblies to the North American automotive industry from its plant in the Niagara Peninsula. Regular upgrades in capital equipment and technologies have created a need for Controls Engineers / Technologists who can add value in PLC and Robotic applications.

Reporting to the Manager of Engineering & Maintenance, the Controls Engineer / Technologist will apply their Controls Technology expertise to launch new programmes and modify programmes to maintain production output. You will provide daily support and guidance to Maintenance Supervisors and Electricians to upgrade their PLC and Robotics knowledge and skills. On a broader scale, involvement in recommending robotic & automation technology enhancements and upgrades, systems design & implementation, and support to capital projects will be required.

Our ideal candidates bring Robotic and Automation Controls post-secondary credentials coupled with 3-5 years of experiences with pick & place robots, PLCs, VFD, and HMIs. Any experiences in fast-paced auto parts manufacturing will enhance candidacy.
