Its reach now spans the globe from strategically-based Tech Centers and Sales offices, yet it maintains its manufacturing footprint here in Eastern Ontario. While core technology centers around SMT production and proprietary software, the fully assembled products are processed through CNC machining, light metal fabrication, and mechanical, electro-mechanical assembly of integrated systems. To support exponential growth its created a comprehensive NPI management team to effectively link between multiple Product Development Centers and the common Manufacturing site.
The Mechanical Engineer will take a leadership role liaising with Product Development teams to champion Mechanical manufacturability capabilities and capacities. As designs go through reviews and iterations leading to production launch, you will maintain focus on DFM highlighting tooling or capital requirements, developing comprehensive Work Instructions for production associates, and incoming Inspection criteria and processes are in place for launch. This role requires exceptional communication skills to receive and convey critical information, top notch organizational abilities to impact multiple concurrent NPI projects, and a positive attitude highlighted by tact, diplomacy, and an analytical approach.
Our ideal candidate has developed their career in industries producing sophisticated, complex products that integrate electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical components and sub-systems. As the Champion for Mechanical manufacturing resources, you will communicate and liaise effectively with Electronic Production Engineering representation and remote product Development teams. Mechanical Engineering credentials, 3D modelling software experiences, and a spirited team player attitude are additional selection criteria. The job location in beautiful Eastern Ontario affords a wide variety of outdoor recreational amenities and dramatically affordable cost of housing.
