Description Recognized around the globe as a designer and manufacturer of sophisticated technologies for military, industrial, and medical applications, this company has been a major employer in the Muskoka area for over 50 years. To further its commitment to the hundreds of long-term, loyal employees, it will add an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to its team. The role will serve to proactively develop and refine policies & procedures to maximize the balance of productivity and reduce health related costs. This position will hold responsibilities in Health, Safety Occupational Health, Claims Management, Wellness Programs, Ergonomics, and Medical File Management, among many other tasks.

Our ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of Health & Safety experiences in an industrial setting. A broad scope of experiences including Ergonomic assessments, Industrial Hygiene, Air Sampling, and Job Scope analysis will be attractive to our client. Even more attractive will be a proactive, positive attitude that motivates employees to work safely. Based on history, there will be minimal WSIB case management responsibilities. Naturally, outstanding verbal and written communications skills are requisite qualities for this role

This position requires the successful issuance, transfer, or maintenance of a Canadian Secret Level security clearance. The successful candidate will be required to complete a background check, and pass a security clearance check after accepting a conditional offer of employment.
