Description We're searching for an influential Program Manager with a successful track record of effectively launching new products into production. Our client is an award-winning Canadian designer / manufacturer of complex electronic, electro-mechanical technologies sold around the globe. From Sales & Applications Offices strategically located internationally, the centralized Product Development team is constantly developing new products and modifying or enhancing existing ones.

The challenges for the NPI Program Manager will be to develop solid relationships with Product Developers to advocate Design for Manufacturability as early as possible in the process. Leading and influencing cross-functional teams representing Production, Process Engineering, Quality, Test and Purchasing, the Program Manager will ensure smooth and cost-effective prototype builds and tests, subsequent Engineering Changes leading to Customer sign-offs, and timely production launches.

Our ideal candidate comes to us from the world of sophisticated electronics design and manufacturing. Particular knowledge of SMT will highlight candidacy. Aside from the requisite organizational and communication skills that lead to success as a Program Manager, our ideal candidate must also bring attributes of persistence without obstinance, the ability to influence multi-disciplined team members seconded to programs and a natural inclination toward Continuous Improvement. This role will supervise 2 Manufacturing NPI Coordinators who monitor and expedite activities and materials to meet program schedules.
