Description Proudly Canadian, this multi-plant food products corporation has expanded its footprint by acquiring smaller companies and rolling their products into the corporate portfolio of offerings. It will hire a Production Manager for one of its local plants, a longstanding operation running 24 x 5 plus weekend OT. Supporting the site's Leader, the Production Manager will, in turn, provide on-the-floor support to the Production Supervisors and Operators. Key responsibilities will include ensuring that raw and packaging materials are of use, work stations are manned with trained & qualified Operators, and metrics of efficiencies, quality, and throughput are met on all 3 shifts. The Production Manager must also be a vocal champion of the Corporation's Lean Continuous Improvement programs, leading tenured employees to embrace 5S, Kaizen, and a developed and embedded CI culture.

Our ideal candidate brings technical or business academic credentials and solid experiences managing Production in food processing, dairy, beverage, or other high volume, high mix CPG industries. S/He will be a collaborative leader, drawing people to common goals, listening to input from respected, tenured employees, and committed to employee training, development, and succession planning. S/He will be decisive, but not arbitrary, strong willed, but not a "command & control" type, enthusiastic and upbeat.
