Description KEC has partnered with a stable, secure, & successful designer/manufacturer of unique, highly precise technologies for military, aviation, and commercial applications. To round out its team, we are searching for two individuals who have solid experiences ensuring our client's import or export compliance with all applicable controls & regulations in accordance with Canada Customs and other government departments.

As the Importer of Record of materials & components sourced from international vendors, it is extremely important that the Import Specialist provide stakeholders with regulatory advice, services related to customs, managing tariff classifications, import requirements, duty & tax implications, reviewing NAFTA Certificate of Origin and coordinating customs clearance. This role requires extreme attention to detail and communications skills to effectively liaise with Vendors and internal Purchasers.

The Export Compliance Specialist will apply knowledge of export control agreements, licenses/permits and regulatory language to ensure that our client's shipping documents comply for international transportation to customers.

For either of these roles, any prior knowledge of, and working experiences with ITAR, CGP, Manufacturing Licensing, Technical Assistance, FCPA, Cyber DFARS, Sanction approvals, and Vendor Compliance Certifications will highlight candidacy for hire. Proficiency with MS Office and ERP software are basic skill requirements.

These roles can be performed remotely, but will require occasional site visits for meetings, audits, and training. Candidates must be able to qualify for and retain Canadian Secret Level clearance.
