Description We're searching for a fully qualified Human Resources Manager who will relish the opportunity to live in a small city in beautiful Eastern Ontario where year-round outdoor recreation is a way of life and the cost of housing is dramatically low. In business more than 50 years, our client is a private Canadian company firmly established as a manufacturer of materials for Automobile, Truck, Recreational Vehicle and Commercial applications. It manages branch locations in Quebec and the USA from its headquarters in Eastern Ontario. Reporting to the VP Finance, the Human Resources Manager will play a critical role supporting growth by leading the evolution of Corporate culture and development & deployment of modern Human Resources practices & policies. Working closely with the Director of Manufacturing, the interpretation & administration of Collective Agreements with different unions in two Canadian manufacturing facilities will always be a core responsibility - therefore strong Labour Relations talents are critical selection criteria. The HR Manager will lead a small team covering the scope of HR policies, Recruitment, Payroll and Benefits for all facilities. Our ideal, "drop in" Candidate brings us enough, solid Human Resources & Labour Relations experiences to function independently in this role with minimal orientation. S/he will synergize her/his experiences with the deeply-rooted workplace culture and influence positive change and improvements supporting recent and future growth. Any experiences with modifying core policies to reflect multiple jurisdictions will highlight candidates.
