Description Recognized around the globe as designers & manufacturers of state of the art precision technologies that meet the stringent requirements of aerospace, military, medical & commercial applications, our client must replace the retiring Product Engineering Manager. The scope of work covers internally defined R&D, Customer defined design and Engineering changes to current products. The products can be a mixture of precision mechanical components and mechanisms with electrical/electronic interfaces.

Inheriting a medium-sized team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Designers and Configuration Managers, the Manager will ensure that development and sustainment design projects are properly manned through a blend of high-seniority technical experts and newly hired, high potential staff. Managing the cultural blend of high and low seniority staff members will be a priority as will harnessing the technical expertise of staff drawing close to retirement. The Manager must build solid bridges with leaders in Systems Engineering, Program Management, Operations Management and Reliability/Test Engineering to enhance manufacturability of design and development of robust, repeatable production processes that can support products through lengthy life cycles. Direct Customer interface is a regular component of this role thus requiring excellent communication and presentation skills.
