Description With some 25 years of aggressive growth and success behind it, this factory automation designer-integrator has established two operations in the USA to lead American Sales, Design, and Manufacturing activities. To support incredible growth opportunities, it will add the talents of a Director of Engineering to lead Mechanical and Electrical/Controls teams located in Arizona and South Carolina.

The Engineering Director will partner with Directors of Manufacturing and Project Integration to design and deliver robust automated production lines and cells to customers across broad industry segments ranging from Automotive to CPG to Life Sciences. While tactical assurance that projects move effectively through Engineering to meet timelines and Supply Chain & Production needs are always important in the capital equipment business, the Director will also focus on strategic development opportunities, embracing new market and new technology applications to support Marketing and BD initiatives. Uniquely, this role will lead two Engineering teams on opposite sides of the country, therefore requiring a reasonable degree of travel from home base in South Carolina near Charlotte, NC.

Our ideal candidate brings at least 10-15 years of expertise in factory automation, especially assembly line and cellular systems integration, rising to a senior leadership position. Personal expertise in Controls or Mechanical Engineering will have provided the foundation from which to guide and mentor Junior & Intermediate Engineers.
