Description With a base history nearing 40 years, this Tier One Auto Parts supplier operates numerous plants in North America and throughout the world. Its centralized Purchasing Team needs to add a Global Commodity Buyer who will be responsible for developing strategies for material cost savings, while keeping in mind localization and buying power initiatives. We are searching for a knowledgeable and accomplished Buyer who brings experience in product and process cost sourcing efforts with excellent negotiating and communication skills. A good understanding of manufacturing processes including stamping, forging, and machining will definitely highlight candidacy. If you possess a Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business educational background and are able to connect with internal/external functional groups and suppliers for the benefit of a fast-paced automotive supply operation, then this opportunity is for you!! An ability to speak Mandarin will be an asset in this role.
