Description From its stable position of 25 years in business, this producer of intricate Tier 2/3 auto parts is entering an aggressive phase of new market and new product development spurred by the evolution of EVs. To support these initiatives, the Product Development Manager will hire an Applications "Engineer" to be the primary point person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering new program / new product projects on time, within budget, and in accordance of customer specifications. Responsibilities will cover the scope of initial capability & capacity analysis through design concept, cost estimating and, if the program is won, to process & tooling development and the whole PFMEA, PPAP, APQP process to successful SOP. Life cycle 'ownership' of each program will then involve guiding ECM and Continuous Improvement.

This role will be customer-facing, thus requiring excellent verbal communication skills. Our ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of similar Engineering experiences in the auto parts industry. Solid CAD, ideally SolidWorks, and general computer skills are required. Willingness to carry broad scopes of responsibilities while interfacing with multiple departments will be essential selection criteria. Any experiences with injection moulding will highlight candidacy.
