Description We're searching for an experienced Estimator with specific expertise in structural steel and custom fabrication who is capable & motivated to also take on full Project Manager responsibilities after contracts are awarded. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a great opportunity to be fully responsible from RFQ/RFP through cost estimating, quoting to project management of purchasing, shop scheduling, fabrication, and installation. You will pay a critical role in determining which assignments to bid on and then manage risk through to profitable completion. As the "hub of the wheel" you'll connect externally with customers, vendors, & site visits, and internally with management to coordinate purchasing, production, and shipping for installation. Our ideal candidate brings knowledge of structural steel sizes, material grades & alloys, solid skills reading & interpreting technical drawings & documents, experience applying labour costs and the proven ability to recognize or anticipate ambiguity or potential problems that might affect risk. Broad knowledge of various welding and machining applications coupled with technical or Engineering credentials will highlight candidacy.
