Description With the imminent retirement of a key, long-term employee, this multi-plant manufacturer will hire a manager to consolidate responsibilities for Traffic, Production Control, and Shipping/Receiving. Assuming scope from Customer EDI Releases through Scheduling, Inventory assignment to coordinating inbound and outbound traffic for 3 plants and external painters & platers, this role will be a busy one with OTD to customers in Ontario, the USA, and Mexico the prime concern! Reporting to the Vice President, Manufacturing, this role will liaise constantly with the Purchasing Manager and Plant Managers ensuring full coordination of activities.

Our ideal candidate brings a solid background organizing and managing complexities of inbound and outbound freight for multiple locations. This will involve the full variety of LTL, FTL, shunting, local deliveries, and customer pickups. As the point person for Customer contact to verify delivery status, this role carries significant importance so tact, diplomacy, and excellent verbal communication abilities are critical attributes that will lead to success. The ability to juggle, to keep balls in the air while assessing priorities is an absolute hiring criterion.
