Commodity Buyer - Production Materials Sourcing

Description With a base history nearing 100 years, this North American division of a global corporation now operates four plants producing Tier One auto parts. Its centralized Purchasing Team needs to add another Buyer who will share responsibilities for sourcing vendors, negotiating & then managing supply agreements for raw materials and components from international commodity markets for all four plants. We're searching for a knowledgeable and accomplished Buyer who brings 5-7 years of applicable experiences sourcing, negotiating and managing supply agreements that account for rising and falling commodity pricing. Any knowledge of coil or bar steel alloys, aluminum, rubber, and plastics compounds will highlight candidacy. Periodic travel to the plants in Ontario and Michigan requires the ability to freely cross the American border.
