Operations Manager - Distribution Center

Description Our client has been selling Engineered process equipment to the Alberta Oil & Gas Industry for decades. To further support sales initiatives and customer service, it is establishing a local Distribution Center in a brand new building in Leduc, AB. To that end, we've partnered with them to recruit and hire the Operations Manager who will establish and staff this greenfield operation. Initially this site will house a finished goods inventory of standard products providing rapid order fulfillment to Albertan customers but, over time, will offer product enhancement, modification, field service and refurbishment services requiring Machine Shop, Welding and Mechanical Assembly capabilities. The Operations Manager will partner with the Sales Team to introduce these Rapid Fulfillment, Customization, Field Service and Refurbishment services to Albertan customers, establish and manage Inventory levels and, of course, hire and train personnel. Our ideal candidate brings career successes leading a Distribution Center or Branch Office supplying Engineered equipment to the Oil & Gas industry coupled with a Sales Support, Customer Service approach and a hands-on humility & willingness to do whatever it takes to get this operation built and established. Independence, decisiveness, sound judgement and calmness under pressure are character traits that will highlight candidacy for hire.
