Description This North American market leader, a continuous process manufacturer, will add the talents of a mature, fully experienced and capable Production Shift Supervisor to manage people and events on the CONTINENTAL NIGHT SHIFT running 8 pm to 8 am. Leading a team of some 40 unionized employees, the Shift Supervisor is empowered to decisively manage Production and Maintenance personnel to effectively meet production schedules - balancing manpower, recommending solutions to bottlenecks, production delays or machine issues, coaching and training new employees to be multi-skilled and recommending process or procedural improvements to Engineering and Sr. Management. This is an interesting & attractive workplace culture mixing high-seniority and newer employees, energized by recent major capital investments in automation and successfully delivering record volumes of products to its North American customers. Our ideal candidate displays maturity, coupled with eagerness & enthusiasm, sound decisiveness, initiative, a "think on your feet" creative problem solving talent, and outstanding communication and leadership skills. Any post-secondary credentials in Engineering, Technology, or Human Resources will enhance candidacy.
